"Excuse me, Ernst, do you really know for sure that Beethoven beat his piano black and blue like you?"

My favourite band "Deine Lakaien" finished their acoustic tour in Germany on last Sunday. They played 6 concerts and I managed to attend their gig in Dortmund. The songs were performed in the purest form: just piano and voice, that was it - pure magic.
I guess I gushed so often over Alexander Veljanov's fantastic voice by now, I need not say more on that matter. But what Ernst Horn is doing with the piano is simply unbelievable! Not only he plays with fingers, hands, arms, he puts empty bottles and glasses inside the instrument to change the sound. Above all, he mauls the strings of the poor piano with drum sticks. The result of these furious actions is breathtaking.
